Starship Contests


And here goes the Flagship of all the contests....the Starship Contest.

General Contest

Name: Generic Starship Contest
Duration: September 19th - December 21st

Description: Model any ship you like. It can be anything. There are no requirements or prerequisites for this contest.



Specific Contest 1

Name: Post-ENT Federation Starship Contest
Duration: September 1st - December 21st

Description: Create a Federation Starship post-Ent Era but Pre-TOS era. It should have the following - no more than 2 Nacelles, a deflector dish and a bridge. You may make it any shape or size. The secondary and primary (saucer) hulls do not have to be seperate, though it should clearly have a visible bridge and deflector dish. The period this ship is set in is between 2180 and 2220. Should have a progessive feel as if it Starfleet are progressing from the ENT era to TOS era.


Specific Contest 2

Name: Babylon 5 Contest
Duration: September 1st - December 21st

Description: This should be a vessel from the Babylon 5 series/franchise. It may be canon or custom but it has to fit in with the design templates of the Babylon 5 ships. This will be difficult but rewarding. You may create or recreate any ship in the Babylon 5 universe to your liking.




Specific Contest 3

Name: Future Klingon Starship Contest
Duration: September 1st - December 21st

Description: This ship should be post-Nemesis ranging from early 2380's to late 2430's. Ship should reflect some advancement in technology whether it's armour or weapons systems or structural design. Again it may be any ship class type ranging from fighter to Battleship.You can basically make it any shape you wish but try to keep it Klingon-esqe in overall appearance.



Rules of the Contests

  • It cannot be a kitbash.
  • It cannot be a port. It most definitely has to be a new Model. Even if it is your own model from a different game then it still doesn't qualify.
  • Obviously it has to work in game
  • You have to provide credits for non-model materials used (example: textures) that were created by others.
  • You may enter previously released models (released for Legacy!), on the grounds that they were not someone else's and you did in fact build them.
  • You may enter with others as a team
