GUI Contests


General Contest

Name: Generic GUI Contest
Duration: September 19th - December 21st

Description: Create any type of GUI for Legacy. The more it deviates from Legacy’s stock menu the better. It does not have to be relevant to star trek at all. Once the GUI looks and feels right then its all systems go. You may also modify the layout of the GUI by modifying the xml files and you may also modify the ingame HUD, however just changing the aesthetics of the GUI is sufficient to win.




Specific Contest 1


Name: BSG GUI Contest
Duration: September 19th - December 21st

Description: Create a Battlestar Galactica themed GUI for Legacy The aesthetics of the GUI are the most important, even if some of the GUI looks patchy it is okay, once the general concept is spot on and the implementation of the GUI is good. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Hints: If you are going to use logos and artwork from Battlestar Galactica sources then provde credit to them.




Specific Contest 2

Name: Cardassian/DS9 GUI Contest
Duration: September 19th - December 21st

Description: Create a DS9/Cardassian-type GUI for Legacy. The aesthetics of the GUI are the most important, even if some of the GUI looks patchy it is okay, once the general concept is spot on and the implementation of the GUI is good. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Hints: Check out DS9 episodes to see panels and interfaces that contain the Cardassian GUIs. If you are going to use logos and artwork from DS9 sources then provde credit to them.




Specific Contest 3

Name: LCARS GUI Contest
Duration: September 19th - December 21st

Description: Create a Starfleet GUI for Legacy. The LCARS can be either from TNG, TMP or even Post-TNG. You can create your own version of the LCARS, once it is derived from the original LCARS layout. The aesthetics of the GUI are the most important, even if some of the GUI looks patchy it is okay, once the general concept is spot on and the implementation of the GUI is good. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

All entries to be uploaded to the file system as normal. Good luck Two Thumbs Up!
