Awesome Graphics for the Keybord i wish they had controll pads like this to hook into your cpu like a game pad

After seeing this nifty LCARS keyboard layout I remember that I had a disected keyboard in the closet. Inside most keybaords (under the keys) are three sheets of plastic with electeric circuits. If you have an old keyboard laying around you can take it apart and use the guts of it to create your own flat panel LCARS keyboard with the keymap laid over the guts. If I have time to tinker with this and create a working prototype I will be sure to post instructions.

forgot the "E" for energy distribution... anyway awsome work ^^

Hi,

Shift for energy does nothing for me and after pressing every key on my keyboard found that E was my energy transfer menu button.

I'm not sure if Shift was the original key to use and now they changed it with their patches to E.

That is an inaccuracy with the above image, as is "ESC - Pause." ESC is actually in-game menu and Pause/Break is Pause.

one other thing I noticed - on my install "F" is the "go to/set course/select target" key - not "G"

Yes and No.. Yes there is but it is not working... The code is written for it in the input.map file but it is redundant code..

Ok guys the subsystem targeting works like this.

we all know that the subsystem targeting targets sensors, engines, and shields, however for these to be targeted they need the hard points (said in odf files)

these hard points are in secluded spots which means you need to be at the right angle for it to target it successfully (which means your on manual control of flying the ship if you use this alot) e.g. the engines are normally at the aft or the sides of the ship so your ship needs to get into a stable and successful targeting position to give critical damage to the enemy ship.
