Description:

Zube returns briskly with his 1.1 Venture class, now with added illumination and general retextures.

Good Modelling skills only come with practice, and its fair to say zube is certainly practicing his. This latest version comes with a modified mesh. Attempting to fix errors in the previous mod. So constructive criticism to help him along here would be appreciated.

The first version lacks of lumination and there was a problem with the warp pylons.

But now, this version has lumination, new design pylon(intent to be like Galaxy-class). Retexture the nacelles and the saucer section, because lack of the future Starfleet's insignia and logo for the Prototype variant.

However, I am still trying to figure out putting the logos on the production variant, it seems tedious.

More work is coming right up!

Prototype: NX-80002, USS Venture Production: NCC-80245, USS Potemkin NCC-80389, USS Zhukov NCC-80479, USS Miranda NCC-80569, USS Yorktown Minor refit: 1-2 years Moderate refit: 2-5 years Major refit: 4-9 years Design specifications: Length: 667m Height: 93m Width: 326m Crew complement: 825 Minimal evacuation: 600 Maximum evacuation: 1500 Four phaser arrays Two torpedo launcher, each for fore and aft. (Additional two for refit) Armed with Quantum torpedoes, and phaser use were from Sovereign-class. A modified Sovereign-class engine configuration Design background: After the last Ambassador-class was put to decommission state, Starfleet decided to revive the class with a new direction. History: Proposed sometime after the Dominion War, all of the damaged or intact Ambassador-class starships are recall to be decommissioned. However, since the Galaxy-class and Sovereign-class were big in size, and aging ships were going to be replaced with Akira-class or Nebula-class, Starfleet wanted a ship that is with the same level as Akira and Nebula. However, no designs were developed during the post-Dominion war, as ships were busy converting their warships to explorer ships. Sometime after the prototype model Ambassador decommission, it was a perfect time to use the ship for refit, however, due to several restriction, the prototype wasn't able to undergo major refit. But, the design of the ship was copied and engineers made minor adjustments to the old design. Such as the warp pylons were replaced with Galaxy-class and a more boxy looking nacelles were use. Starfleet approved of the engineers' research and decided to further streamline the ship. The Sovereign-class's secondary hull was added to the design with a different configuration though and there it was the prototype. However, it wasn't up to Starfleet's expectations, as the ship was large, in between the Sovereign and Galaxy scale. Further to add, there was lacking of phaser array, however it covers the blind spot. However, the design continued and minor alterations were made for the production ships. The prototype received a major refit after nine years of lifespan, this followed like the Sovereign-class refit, two torpedo launchers were added and the aft secondary hull was extended. The nacelles were lowered. Increase hull plating power, weapons, shield and sensors. The Venture-class is design to be like the Ambassador-class, and it was a successful design to have a big workhorse in the fleet.

Good attempt, but once again you upload only a 1.1 instead of a 1.0 or 2.0? whats up with that?

Work on specs and bumps, and seperate the windows. smile

Separate the windows? You meant dotted windows, I am working on that, don't worry acidfluxx.

Looks kinda boxy but overall not a bad ship. Looks like it was inspired by the Ambassador class.

as a sister class to the ambassador it's not bad but there are a few bit that need fixing.
the nacelles need smoothing and rounding along with the blue warp plasma strip bringing around the back and connecting and also a metal fixture to hold the bussard collectors to the rest of the nacelle, the star drive section also needs rounding out particually around the nevigational deflector, more phaser strips because on first inspection i can only find four strips and finally the windows need to be seperated.
