We present you our new Ancient warship based on the TV series Stargate.
It was the shipclass mainly used by the Ancients and one of their most powerfull ones.
It was armed with drones and other energy weapons, which can cause a lot of damage.
Their systems could be upgraded with a ZPM to improve the ship's energy generation.
For example to enhance its shields.

Ghughs back once again, and this time he brings his Stargate - Ancient Warship.

Upon seeing this colossal ship, I was impressed. The model is intricately detailed down to every turret. The textures, which contain glows, specs and bumps, also help achieve a mysterious look by not containing any noticeable characteristics. In-game it certainly looks ancient.

Gameplay wise, the ship felt perfect. The ships own physics mean that rather than moving around a ridiculous speeds with Nova-style turning circles, this ship, being so big slugs around slowly. This is the kind of ship you'd get in battle fighting broadside with another juggernaut. In Legacy, however, that feature can be a little frustrating. The ship seems to have allot of blind spots where you'd have to maneuver to get the enemy ship into your firing arc. When you are able to fire, however, its a stunning feat. The weapons are slow traveling pulses that do considerable damage to opponents. The sound Trek Battles has for the weapon, and the size and speed of the weapon itself really offers a powerful feeling about them. These weapons on a smaller ship would make light work of it. However, the photons for me were invisible, and when traveling forward, helm reported that the aft torpedo's were ready to fire.

The ship is well balanced. Such a large vessel will be able to take a beating before it falls, and thats the case with this ship. The ship can hold of one or two of the strong ships in Trek Battles 3, but obviously would fall if you pitted it against 4 Sovereigns. When the ship is destroyed, I was a bit disappointed. There was no evidence of chunks or a chunk generator for the ship, and watching the ship suddenly vanish was a little odd, to say the least.

Nevertheless, this is a must-have for any Trek Battles 3 players. The ships beauty and size alone should be enough for anyone wanting some beauty shots to download her.

Sorry for the missing chunks. I'll add them in the Mod-Pack.
The torpedoes are quite small, because they symbolize the drone-weapon and the drones are small.
Maybe I'll raise their size though.

Ahh ok

I went on what I saw, its a great ship. Broadside style warships arent something you get many of in legacy, so this is a great addition smile

I'm on it. I've begun to model one, but I can't tell you, whether it'll be finished soon.
I'm improving the existing ships for the SG-addon at the moment.

i downloaded this ship and the drones and pulses didn't show up, but then i downloaded enemy at the gate and it worked! big grin
