Description:

The is an ancient vessel sent from far away to reintiate contact with the Humpback whales of Earth. Its massive size had to be diminished somewhat for Legacy but is still the longest ship in game by far. Its only defense is its ability to disable any vessel with its energy field which is invisible. With sounds straight from the film I am sure you will find this a fearful and resonating vessel to engage.

	Readme File: Rudianos's Whale Probe v 1.0 ---- Thanks for downloading the Whale Probe - featured in the Star Trek IV - The Voyahe Home. This mod is meant for stock Legacy and will load under the Klingon race. Though you can easily change it if you have another version. Instructions 1. Unload the contents of the Whale Probe folder into your Legacy directory. Should not overwrite anything, but make a backup if you feel it prudent. Please be patient, there are 4 specific steps. If any step is not done right your games will crash. 2. Heads up guys. if you are lazy and just dump the files into your legacy folder without following the instructions you will render your game unplayable!! eek!

I followed the directions to a T and it works perfectly. Excellent job with the probe sounds. Really makes you feel like you're reliving ST:IV all over again smile

@ Rudianos - not sure if this is a bug or feature but whenever I use this ship in Ultimate Universe 2.0 and the probe fires its invisible phasers, I hear both the whale warbling sound (totally fine...as it should be and REALLY COOL) and also the traditional phaser sounds for the game itself. Other than that...this ship works perfectly. Is there something I should mod/edit so that when the probe does fire its invisible phasers, the only sound i hear is the warbling whale sounds?

Hmm, the sound seems to be what Legacy generates for shield burns. When there are no shields it sounds less. Will have to think about this one.
