Description:

Any Excelsior variant is a worthy variant and Jeddy brings us his Lechworth Class Excelsior Variant. I'm not sure what Lechworth is or why Starfleet would name a ship as such, it's probably some village in England that the designer came from stick out tongue

.

Using the technology fromt he widely successful Excelsior, Starfleet command decided to make the technology more avaliable for other ships in the fleet, and to aid tactical missions rather than replacing their older, more proven war-horses.

The Lechworth Class Support Cruiser was created, and put into wide use amoung the fleet, Espescialy during deep space exploration and long range recon. The versatility of the craft seemed endless. And some are still being constructed by the late 24th Century due to their low cost and boundless abilities.

I think this is pretty decent ship, like a stepping stone between the Excelsior and the Centaur Class. Overall I think this is a cool ship to have in Legacy and jeddy keeps impressing with his work here on Legacy Files.

If it wasnt for the great reviews this ship would probably still be cluttering up my desktop and therefore not finished. Instalation Copy the foldering in this .zip into your root Star Trek Legacy Folder, it will prompt you to overwrite, dont worry and just click yes to all. Looks good, but the logo spoils the design (its too bold, keep working on them).

If not for the bad logo i would give 10/10,

@ IKS The LEchworth was a Coalier vessel running up and downt he river Thames during the first (or possible second) World War. and ok this ship isnt a Coalier but its a support draft and at the time it seemed to fit stick out tongue

Letchworth is a national park in the USA, also known as the "Grand Canyon of the East". Just thought I would clear that up. And it's a great ship too, really deserving of its name.
