Description:
Team Hawk Fluxx introduce the Iron Man Warbird. This mod is a novelty ship designed as a homage to the Iron Man comic book series, no doubt spurred on by the recent summer blockbuster. As far as the textures go, it is definitely akin to the Iron Man copper/gold colour scheme. The vessel uses TOS Federation weapons which works well with the textures, never thought blue would suit the copper and gold textures. The only thing I would say the ship would be better with is to have the colours dispersed throughout the hull better in the same fashion/design as Iron Man's suit.
Overall not a bad effort, download if you wish. 7/10

tj_hawk and acidfluxxbass present to you, our last and final mod as Team Hawk Fluxx
The Iron Man Warbird. We've tried to make it as possible cannon like to the actual
cartoon, comic book and movie versions as possible. we've been working on this mod together since the movie came out in May, and since then we've been through at least 8 beta's in the last 3 months. Trial and error right?
It came down to it where we decided to use the Romulan Warbird, only because it fitted our needs and not to mention it stands out more than the other ships we've tried using to retexture. While Acidfluxxbass helped me with the idea to incorperate into this mod, i've been working night and day (on top of my other projects) on the textures, what stock weapons i can re-program to my own, and the ship ODF itself.
We almost released this mod with only a minor bug to deal with, but after
studying some of our old work, we've managed to get past that and make this
mod with no shields at all. At the rate of the first beta testing of this mod,
it's stands up pretty well against a Borg Tactical Cube, however, i'd recommend
that you at least back it up with some heavy ships for backup.
While I enjoyed making this mod, I had a even better time playing it while in beta testing. I've used Federation TOS weaponary to give the feel of Iron Man's weapons in the comic book feel. However, i couldn't remove the cloaking device only because for some odd reason the game crashes without it. So unless you want to hide yourself from the enemy ships, this is a good mod to have. It does not overwrite any files :) so don't worry about the weapons not working. I hope you'll enjoy playing this mod, as much as we have making it :).
[Trek Battles 2]
For the Trek Battles 2 mod, if you want to change which race you want this
ship to be playable under the "Misc" race, look for the following line in
the ODF:

[Bugs/Problems]
This Mod has been tested with:

However, if you should find a problem with this mod during gameplay, we strongly
urge you to contact us right away so we can find a solution right away.

Posts: 415 | thanks im not too surprised about the 2 rating....so who really cares, but this was going to be the last mod to be released by Team Hawk Fluxx. Took us probably since Late April working on where we were going to place the color schemes, testing weapons, and the ship stats. I do have a number of follow-up ships that will be posted in the next following weeks  |
