'Illuminii' Map Pack (TB3 Contest Entry) (1.0) - File Description

Description:

Here we've got three new maps from acidfluxxbass, which all have one thing in common: The amount of nebulae placed there. Apart from that all three maps differ from each other, which is why I will review them one by one:

The Bronch Expanse:

This map consists of many blue-whitish nebulae and a lot of asteroids, which are placed all over the map and spread to all three dimensions. It contains several Federation stations, but you will also find some enemies on there which do not belong to any of your chosen opponents, so be careful, when exploring that map with ENT era ships.
What I like especially about this map is this really cool 3d feel, you won't find on a lot of maps. Unfortunately it might be that this map causes a lot of trouble to lower end computers, due to all the nebulae and asteroids. Also the map has some odd lighting on different angles.

IIlumini:

The second map called "Illumini" is pretty empty compared to the first one, but you'll find a lot of purple nebulae and a few planets again. The nebulae have a nasty side effect, they block your sensors. So this is only for patient gamers, it may be that you spent most time of the match waiting outside the nebulae for an enemy to appear.

Juniper System:

As all previous maps, this one is also full of nebulae, this time it's a nice purple-pink. What I like especially about this map, are the semi-hidden planets, which only stick out a little bit of the nebulae. So don't miss this one if you're looking for some nice eye candy. Apart from that there is not much on this map.

A really nice pack we've got from acid, so don't hesitate to download this and add it to your Aftermath Install. Also these are the first entries for the Trek Battles 3 Map Contest, so don't hesitate and submit your own maps.
