Kophjaeger continues his long line of impressive starships with the an improvement on the Exeter class, which was release a year ago.

This is a late 24th century vessel equipped with the slipstream drive seen in the Voyager Episode "Timeless". Kophjaeger describes this vessel as a destroyer, however being from the late 24th century your immediate impression on encountering anything smaller than your average battleship. Having high powered standard and pulse phasers, as well as a small array of torpedoes with a good recharge rate, this mere destroyer will easily match the best of whatever your opposition can throw at it.

Those familiar with starship design will see it is, as before, a cross with the defiant and a somewhat modernised kelvin class, and although unconventional, it is pleasing to look at.

As the description also says the ship is designed as a high speed interceptor, and she is at that, traversing the cosmos at well over 6000mmps. (also quite handy if a borg armada pays you a visit)...This is by no means a god ship, if you find yourself outnumbered you may want to make use of your engines, or your cloaking device, as the shields don't hold out against prolonged weapons fire.

The overall look and feel of the ship has improved, with a nice metallic look and high maneuverability.

Current bugs with this version include pulse phaser and torpedo sprites, please give feedback if you also get this problem.

Otherwise a welcome return of the Exeter Class!


With the successes of recent slipstream driven advanced starship designs, a new generation of starship classes was born. In 2395, the newest fast escort came off the drawing boards. Uss Exeter, led her class, equipped with quantum pulse phasers, slipstream drive and plasma torpedos. Although this destroyer is under 300m in length, she is best equipped to make high speed interceptions and straffing runs as opposed to dogfighting.

Any. Note, this will over-write your Vesta_B textures (if installed with a Vesta class 2.0 there are no differences).


Run the installation file.


This mod is also euipped with a variant that fires dual forward firing plamsa torpedos. To install, run the separate installer .exe file, and add the following line to the top of your weapons.spr.

This ship is an original production, except for the torpedo, which is courtesy of Anun C8 and the MR Sprite mod. I am not responsible for any problems this mod may cause your installation (which should be none anyway), nor am I responsible for the collateral damage caused to other ships that encounter the Exeter class. This is not released for profit and has nothing to do with Maddoc and Bethesda.

Strange, I've run several test runs in stock and TCs, under what conditions did the sprites not work?

I expect he didn't make the entries into the weapons.spr and therefore had invisible weapons.

(you could pack ships with my legacymodinstaller so it would insert the required entries automatically during installation for the player if you like.)

oh I see it is packed with the modinstaller. The sprites work fine for me using it to install to stock legacy.

But the ship only has aft torpedos and no forward ones, and the aft ones show as forward on the hud. That's doing the Exeter2.0 - dualtorp installer.

Yep, the other one works but the installer doesn't seem to have a 1024x1024 option. Yet anyway, so the dual torp sprite needs to be installed manually.

Yeah I didn't make the changes to the weapons.spr, and I had to extract the files manually as my pc was failing to run the exe. My bad most likely. smile

Kophjaeger just type in "@reference=1024" you could do 2048 or larger too, if you like by typing it manually. The references that are in the dropdown box aren't limits, they are just the "most likely" options.
