With alot of influence from the Defiant design, the Dilligent class is an elegantly agile cruiser which carries about the same amount of firepower as the Intrepid class but is equipped with the more heavy ablative armour that the Defiant was the prototype for.

Well, that design is.... unique, to say the least.
Has some "Star trek Online" feel to it actually (which I like)

The Diligent performs rather nice in battle and really fits her role to merge intrepid-firepower with defiant-armor.
The material-settings could be improved, though. They do look a tad bland as it is.
Also the smoothing appears to cause some problems (especially on those pylons).

Those are the only two (small) negatives I can find about this ship and they are in no way a reason to not download and try her out. =)

	Readme File: ----------- Installation ----------- - All folders can be found in your local Legacy game main directory(C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Star Trek Legacy). - Just copy and paste all files in the folders into their corresponding folders in your Legacy main directory. - For the ship's ODF file, I've included one for Ultimate Universe 1.0 and one for the Trek Battles mods which you can also use for stock Legacy installments. * I must emphasize that balancing for this ship(shields, hull, weapons, etc.)will vary from one install to the other so please adjust accordingly. ----------- Credits ----------- Original Model and Textures: Original concept/design, mesh and textures are done by Rick "Hobbes" Snider. Released through both www.startrekaustralia.com and http://www.scifi-meshes.com back in the days. Conversion to SFC: Low poly mesh is done by Major A. Payne with texture set created using renders of Hobbes high poly mesh(this model has been done with permission). Conversion to Legacy: Further porting to Legacy, hardpointing, texture refinements including glows, bumps, specs, and lightmaps done by me(dEjavU). ----------- Disclaimer ----------- You download this model and its associated texture files with the following understanding: 1.) oh awesome! a brand new ship design! i personally don't care for retextures and all those things. i really don't think this website needs to have 50 different versions of the same ship like the constitution. what i wish we had more of were creative designs like this! that's what i wish we had anyway.

it's a good ship, but the weapon level's at 1200? An Intrepid has more than that, same with sensor range

Interesting design, there is something I like about it. Always good to see something new and original. I'll look forward to seeing the nacelles and registries. I will give it looks like it could use improvements in textures as well but it's still a cool ship.

Maybe a little STO but as I don't follow it or play I can't say, also a slight XI thought as it's so different, but slightly similar.
