Here we have another TipTop model, the Federation Devil Ray Class Destroyer, that makes it his 5th for today.. This is the final version of this vessel. Updates for this version include better specular glows and modified bump mapping - just to increase it's eye-candy factor in Legacy smile

. This mod also includes genty's TOS Bussard Mod!

Well well, TipTop has produced another unique and superb ship for Legacy. This time he has created a very different TOS destroyer called the Devil Ray Class. The design is strange (but in a good way) with a cross support beam extending from the primary hull to right behind the bussard collectors on the nacelles. Starship background:
Before the Miranda class entered service Starfleet engineers were trying to create a similar ship with better equipment and more hull space , that would still be smaller and cheaper counterpart to the Constitution class. The prototype of the Davil ray class was called USS Enigma. Unfortunately there were major problems with the engines and before they were solved, first Miranda class starship entered service. Besides that the costs became too high so the ship entered service as an experimental vessel and soon became testbed for new engines and weapons systems.
