Archelon Class (v1.0) - File Description

THis is the latest in the line of the Acidfluxx Enterprise Era Fleet - the sleak and tough looking Archelon Class.

Ship Info:
The Archelon Class was a patrol ship from the ENT era. It's general purpose is to scout and patrol early Earth colonies. The ship was of basic design, using parts from the Poseidon project. The ship has merely phasers, and nacelles connected to the upper side of the saucer. The ship is designed to be cheap, small simple and effective. In bulk, the ship can cause problems. Individually, the ship can be overpowered easily.

Using arched (possibly the reason for the name Archelon), raised nacelles (giving it a slightly Romulan look) this ship fits perfectly into the ENT era fleet, just as all Fluxx's Fleet do. It's compact, nimble and serves as a fantastic support ship (perimeter action/scout ship) for the ENT Feds! The only thing I can negatively criticize is perhaps the nacelles, which are the same for the NX Class should be a little smaller to suit the compact nature of the ship but that is not even a complaint as this ship looks like it could have been on screen on Enterprise

That's not a bad looking ship at all. We need more ENT era ships, and it's nice to see a good-looking one. 9/10

It looks like it could replace the strider class, cause everyone knows that ship just doesn't belong in the ENT era.

I like this simplified design a lot, buddy! On 2nd screenie (esp in thumnail view) it looks a lot like an Ent era Strider, as Pessy pointed on it so accurately! :nodding:

Also, it's great to see the file comment from you, Brian! To be honest, I always liked you descriptions the most. smile

Over time, that style of putting a little more effort into the description made a real quality improvement in other file's descriptions aswell written by another staff members. Never been a fan of minimalistic 'one-line' description myself...

I wonder, since when was this ship was in production(the final model not prototype)? Anyway I prefer much more simpler and sleek ship, like the Intrepid type or the Jupiter type, it really gives them like patrol duties or short missions. The Archelon class design doesn't really give that impression of patrol duties. How sad.

Love AcidFluxxBass's kitbash, especially this one. It's the closest to what I've been wanting to see him do for a while: Posiedon class with an extended shuttlebay/engineering section and nacelles mounted upward.
