Description:

The Aegis Class is a fine ship to fly. She looks very modern (as far as 25th century standards go), and very interesting to fly. The first thing that strikes me when looking at this ship is the bizarre shape. The saucer is more a curved triangle, with an almost organic neck and fluid nacelles. When I play with the ship, it has a very proud and smooth motion.

The port has been well engineered by Deja Vu. He's done his research, including specs, bumps, and icons, the main expectations for a quality port. However, there are elements that I feel improvement. First and foremost, the textures. They struck me as being a bit too low res and strangely bright. It's difficult to distinguish any shading on the ship, perhaps down to the configuration for the materials during the port.

The ship struck me as being well balanced. Allot of future ships are over estimated, but I think this is realistic. It will put up a solid fight against most ships, but being an average sized cruiser, it can be beaten just as easily as any other ship.

The U.S.S. Patriot is the second ship of the Aegis class to be built. The design was commissioned for duty in the year 2373 as a multipurpose platform capable of being configured for mission specific objectives.Heavily refited during the Dominion war with additional torpedoe turrets, phaser strips, cloaking devise, and ablative armour assigned for short range planetary defense within sector 001. However after the threat was finally erased and the Borg had been repelled to almost none existance it was decided that the Aegis project be embraced by a more traditional role....that of exploration and scientific research.

At the end of the day, an awesome mod and very enjoyable to play with!

	Readme File: ----------- Installation ----------- - All folders can be found in your local Legacy game main directory(C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Star Trek Legacy). - Just copy and paste all files in the folders into their corresponding folders in your Legacy main directory. - For the ship's ODF file, I've included one for Ultimate Universe 1.0 and one for the Trek Battles mods which you can also use for stock Legacy installments. * I must emphasize that balancing for this ship(shields, hull, weapons, etc.)will vary from one install to the other so please adjust accordingly. ----------- Credits ----------- Original Model and Textures: Mesh design and overall construction by Cavan Millward with colaboration by Jonathan Bray on aspects of the original concept. It should however I don't have UUM(2.0)installed so theres no way to be sure. wink

if you use stock weapons, its likely to work on any mod. if it uses tb3 or uu2 eapons, then it'll only work with those mods.

Here's an update patch for the Aegis class(UpDaTe pAtcH)it contains an m3d file with muchly improved material settings and slightly tweaked ODF's.
