O'Neill Class Starship - File Description

Quality: 8
FunFactor: 7
Creativity: 7

Overall Rating: 7.3

Description:
Quote:
The Oneil class starship/mothership/battleship is a fictional vessel created by Robert C. Cooper and his best friend for the Scifi hit television series Stargate SG-1. In the year 2389, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, who was a fan of the old but still interesting Stargate franchise, suggested humorously that a ship model based on the Oneil class be designed. Surprisingly, Chiefs O'Brien and LaForge realized the usefullness of the design. While being massive in size, the vessel was highly maneuverable. In addition, the hull was comprised of a transparent material similar to transparent aluminum but much more dense.

As a result, the Oneil-class was incorporated into the Federation fleet. So far, only four ships have been created. One of the ships is the Enterprise. Apparently, Picard himself named the ship, as his own Enterprise E had been decommissioned for quite some time already. Picard no doubt wished to fulfill Colonel/Brigadier general Oneil's request that some ship be named Enterprise.

I'm not a big fan of Stargate but this ship is really cool to play with in Legacy. It's quite big but surprisingly quick and strong. The shape of the vessel is nice but I'm not too sure about the textures (Never seen the ship before).. It's definately worth a look if you enjoy Stargate!

Installation:

Fast Install (Recommended)
Follow the instructions in the auto-installer and you'll be fine.

Custom Install (Advanced Only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Install to a TEMP folder and tinker with it to whatever extent pleases you.

Support:

Works on CP and Skirmish. Works on MP only if everyone has the file.

Bugs:

No ship icon. Don't know how to make own. Sorry.
Sometimes "glows" after decloaking.
No fancy alpha glows or anything. Es tut mir leid.

Legal stuff:

Look it up in the license agreement in the Legacy main directory. I'm too lazy to put it all up. :)
Also a huge, huge thanks to both mccobin and ColdDarkParanoia. Mccobin made the original SFCIII model for that wonderful Stargate mod yall love, and ColdDarkParanoia ported the ship to A2. I now take it one step more and port this ship to Legacy.

Enjoy!
