Description:
Well it's the Aegean Class but not as we know it. This rather strange looking Aegean Class (from Star Trek: Armada2) is from the Enterprise Era.... Acting in the Starfleet as a destroyer, this has the standard design of high mounted nacelles above the aft-dorsal of the hull and a raised saucer section. Although the vessel would not have fitted the Enterprise Era starship design, it looks similiar to the Aegean's original shape.

Readme File:
Aegean for Star Trek Legacy


Description:
The Aegean Class is meant to be an Enterprise eradestroyer and it is the Federations forays into the standard looking ship design with the high mounted nacelles and raised saucer section and main hull set well below the saucer section

Installation:
-Open Zip File
-Copy the contents of each folder into the corresponding folders in the STL file

You can modify any files you want for your liking. All the files needed for it to work in STL are there even the icon file so you won't have the huge white box when you pick it or playing the game.

Mod Usage:


InterstellaMachine did the original modeling work for this ship to be used in Star Trek Armada 2,
I modded the file to be used in Star Trek Legacy.

If you are going to use this file else where please provide credit to James Rumann and InterstellaMachine

Jarrett!! You are constantly making negative comments, if you don't like a ship then please state why. I have yet to see a file/ship by you jarrett so unless you release something better keep your bad comments to yourself or else elaborate

I admit, it does need help. But I'm curious why it's in the ENT era and not in TNG, as it was in A2. confused

I have not made "constant" negative comments towards users, I just made one for this. I am not a modder, and I probably couldn't make anything better than this, but by all degrees this does look terrible, and since comments are, well, to COMMENT, then it's my right to do so. It doesn't say "Your pleasant comments for this File please:", does it?

The ship just looks poorly designed texture-wise. It's also very ugly. No use lying to the poor guy. And, at the time, I couldn't even think of anything encouraging to say because it looks like an abomination. I mean, the textures are all crazy looking and unfitting to the design. If you look at his newer work, however, he's improved alot. I'm sure many of the users here would agree with me.

You can't always be nice. I believe criticism is needed, especially in the art world. I mean, look at the ratings given to this:

FunFactor: 9
Creativity: 9

Overall Rating: 8.8"

Seriously, is everything here ever lower than an 8? It's alright to be nice, but it doesn't help the modders improve any if everything is sugarcoated for them. I hope my criticism is taken into consideration when Justin decides to either update his work or work on his next project.

I think what he's trying to say, jarrett, is to indicate WHY you think this is an abomination. Yes, I'll admit this isn't battlefield 2 graphics, but think about how old A2 graphics are. In case you haven't noticed, this model uses those same outdated texturing.

What an abomination!!!!!!!!????????????????? is not constructive criticism... what can a modder do to upgrade or fix his/her mod without constructive criticism?.. If you understood what went into modding then you would appreicate that fact..

Is it possible to use A2 modding tools to retexture this ship even better? It'll probably be a real pain, but if that's what it takes to mod Legacy....

Oh for the love of god. Jarrett. You've been told by a member of staff and your still argueing the point. You do realise you can be comment banned for that. It might not be a written rule but remember that your posting comments is a priveledge, not a right.

As to the model. A reasonable port, but I'm wondering why the texture ended up the way is did. Looking at it the the texture is severely miss-aligned on the nacelles. Might want to check this.

Something definitely got skewed up with the texture, that is not the original mapping. Here is how it was intended to look:

With the help of InterstellarMachine I was able to fix the texture mapping and the hardpoint glitch. It was my fault for not going over the texture with a fine tooth comb when I ported it. As for the hardpoint glitch(no in game weapons) it baffled me because the original test I did had them but when I fixed the textures the hardpoints disappeared and Milkshape isn't that friendly when I tried to add the HP. I submitted a new version with the fixes.
