2007 Map-Mission Contest: Runners-up - File Description  


Description:
Here are the runners-up for the inaugural Map/Mission Contest on Legacy Files. The entries are as follows

Kobayshi Maru by gdata
Kobayshi Maru Mission was just short of a secondary vote to be the winner but instead is our Runner Up, a thus is the unofficial Mission Winner as opposed to the Overall winner which is a Map. It really is a Kobayashi Maru situation, and I haven't won on it yet.

Terrokan by Alexraptor
Terrokan was released by Alexraptor as a mod last week and is certainly a good map. This was a highly enjoyable map especially with the wormhole and binary star system make for a different type of combat. Two Thumbs Up!

Generals by Wilv
This is a remapped version of the General's mission in the single player campaign, except this one has DS9 moved from Bajor to the mouth of the wormhole and has the Denorios belt there too.. Nice job, good concept Two Thumbs Up!

First Contact by Wilv
Another mission from Wilv, this time its the turn of the First Contact mission, well the second part of it when the Enterprise follows the Sphere back in time to Earth. wink

Death Adder Pass by tjoz
Another neat map from Death Adder Pass.. This has got alot of good work gone into it too.. The background is very cool, it gives it an apocalyptic mood to the map. Personally I think it reminds me of the Gehenna mission from Homeworld 2 ;p

Armidus by tjoz
Another good entry from tjox. This is another map that has a prominent background which adds a very icy atmosphere to the combat Two Thumbs Up!

So that's that... I think it's safe to say the Mapo/Mission Contest was a bit of a success! So thanks for all the entries and have yourself a Beer! Beer!
